--Do the benefits of importing Chinese goods outweigh the consequences?
I think importing/ exporting goods from china is a good idea because it helps china and their exporting jobs. It helps chinese people have more jobs in exporting places. It helps China’s functioning system, for example they will not have too many goods in China for example everyone will have just enogh goods. Importing goods from China can be a good thing becuae we can import stuff that we cannot produce.

What is something you dislike about yourself?
-There are many things I dislike about myself. For example, I have a short term memory. I forget everything but then I feel stupid later. Another thing I dislike about myself is when I play basketball and I have the oppurtunity to dribble I do, but then I get scared and loose my dribble. I get scared and dribble like I never had before. Another thing I dislike about myself is that I feel like I too weak. I feel like when something happens I turn weak and everything turns into tears even when im mad. There are many things about myself that I idislike but it would be hard for me to name them all.

Write a blog post paragraph about the Jammer Christmas Dinner.
At the jammer dinner I sat with Damien, Brian, Joseph B, Alyssa, Tashanna, and Melissa. We sat next to our Donors which were so nice. We talked about our life at Spa and about school. After we ate and prepared fpr the hayride. We walked outside and sat ontop of hay for the hayride. The hayride took atleast 5-10 minutes. We went around a circle of lights with different figures and cartoons. It was fun. After we walked to a place where you could get desserts and hot chocolate. We sat outside near a fire. Afterwards we walked back to were we started and opened our presents. I was so thankful for my dnors and Jammer.

What do you think the world will be like when you are a grown up?
I think when I grow up the world will be full of advanced technology. I think like everyone says there will be flying cars and robots taking over the world. But another way I see the world when I grow up are zombies. I feel like during the process of my growing up will be by killing zombies and surviving. I feel like a zombie apocalypse will happen anytime in between the next 3-6 years. When I grow up I feel like the world will stay the same but can and most likely turn into a worse place. People will keep doing what they are doing but since people are producing newer and newer drugs which means later in life people will produce more dangerous drugs. People will make more advanced weapons. The world will turn in to a more bad place. Worse than it is now.
"Lamb to the Slaughter" Irony Paragraph.
Paragraph Outline-
How does the irony in "Lamb to the Slaughter" by Roald Dahl make the story memorable? In "Lamb to the Slaughter," Roald Dahl uses irony to make the story realistic.
For example, one of the detectives says, “Probably right under our very noses. What you think Jack?" as the men are eating the leg of lamb (pg. 324). This shows that this is dramatic irony because the reader knows that the characters are eating the murder weapon, but the characters were unaware. This also shows that this is memorable because the reader understands why Mary Maloney starts giggling after they were eating the murder weapon, because the reader understands and is in on the joke. In addition, Mary Maloney says, "Patrick!...How are you darling?" as she enters the house after returning from the grocery store even though she already knows her husband is dead (pg. 321). This shows that this is situational irony because it shows Mary, the wife, pretending like nothing happen even though she has just murdered Patrick and he was already dead. This also shows that that her actions have changed since the beginning of the story when she was caring toward her husband. Her behavior is surprising which makes the readers want to keep reading. In conclusion the author uses Irony in this story to make the readers expect something but the story turns out to be the exact opposite.

If there were no rules, what do you think would happen?
If there were no rules I think the world would no longer exist. I think people would go around shooting each other and stealing each others stuff. This world would be worse. Worse than it already is. i think if there were no rules then there would be no laws which means the president has no point of being president. If there were no rules there would be terrorist coming to America and bombing us whenever they wanted to. Rules are important but sometimes people don't think they are. The world would turn into a terrible place if there were no rules.

In Notes from a Bottle, James Stevenson's use of abmiguity engages the reader.
For example in a part of the story ,"there has been constant speculation on the cause of the flood," as he explains that no one knows how it started. This shows that the cause of the flood is abiguous, to the people in the story and to the reader. This also shows this would make the reader want to figure out what caused the flood, more than the people in the story. In addition from another part of the story that is ambigious is when "The biggest party last night was in the masneills on 4..." people party all around the building nopt caring. This shows that people do not care at this point about what is happening. It causes the reader to wonder why they are partying instead of trying to save themselves. It also shows that the motivation of the people's behavior is unknown. It makes the reader think they are stupid. In conclusion the author and narrator show ambuguity by not telling the reader excatly what will happen.

-Are cell phones safe to use while driving?
----ASSESS
----CONCEPT
RELATE
Cell phones are not safe to use while driving. Over 37% of drivers have received or sent a text message and 18% say the do it regularly. I think people who receive messages were or are focused on what the message says than relying on what lye's ahead on the road. People who text or even use their phone at all while driving are more likely to get in an accident than someone using a Bluetooth or a loud speaker system. I think people who do not assess or think ahead will and should get consequences. Some people should know the concept of cellphones and how they are not allowed to be used while driving. There are people in the world who can relate to people who have been in car accidents just for using a cellphone while driving. Cellphones are not safe to use while driving because that is just another distraction when driving.

------Women should/should not be required to register for the Selective Service?
---Academic Vocabulary Words:
----FACTOR
----PLOT
----VOICE
Women should not be required to register for the Selective Service because women have a higher chance of getting killed in war then men. Some women might have the same abilities as a man does but at the same time women should be able to stay home and worry about their children and being their main factor in life. Women do have a voice as well but women should not be sent to war just because government thinks everything should be "equal." Not everything is going to be the same. Women going to war is way plotted way differently than women who stay home. This is because women who stay home feel like they are important like they have a need to stay home and help feed their kids keep them safe and do the duties of being a woman. While women who go to war may not come home often or sometimes don't come home at all, which is something that can affect their children.

JCCS Academic Language Assessment Week 9
---Should junk food be banned from high school vending machines?
I think junk foods should not be banned from high school vending machines because junk food can not only be described as chips, sodas and pastries It can be described as hamburgers and pizzas. An important part of school is not only about learning but also as well as making smart choices and picking through "junk foods" is a good ALTERNATIVE for teens. Banning junk food does not teach teens how to make healthy choices it simply removes their options. Banning junk foods is not a very good STRATEGY to teach teens how to start eating healthy. Even though adult worry about kids with obesity issues and other diseases they shouldn't ban junks foods from kids now. In PREVIOUS there have been kids who can't control themselves. But if their peers help htem they can become more and more motivated towards making smart choices. Teens can make progress not by banning their junk foods but by letting them know what their choices are.

JCCS Academic Language Assessment Week 8
The Ten Commandments do not belong in schools. A reason why is because there are many religions out there with different varieties and different CATEGORY's of people and beliefs. For example, some religions believe there are different gods and some religions believe there is one god but Jesus is not the son of god. Another reason is because some people may think that god plays a big ROLE in kids life because of a thing called the "afterlife." An "afterlife" is life after death, it is a decision between whether you have not sinned or sinned, believed in god or not. People CONSUME all this information from a very famous book called "The Bible". A book with the ten commandments and many other series of events that have happened in times before explaining that everyone should live for god. But this should mainly be studied in church. Which is why I think the Ten Commandments should not be allowed in schools because it can use up kids time instead of learning what they need to know to be successful in life.

Vaccinations should be required for all children because it can cause other kids to get sick as well. There is an ESTIMATE of 1 out o 88 kids get side affects from vaccinations. But I would rather have a Positive side and let my kid get a shot than end up sick with a chance of dying. I can already ILLUSTRATE kids that don't get their shot, being really really sick. Vaccinations should be required for all children because no other kids or person should be getting sick just because you don't want your kid to miss their vaccination.

------Has the pressure of teen sports gone too far?
The pressure of teen sports has not gone too far because the pressure that coaches give their team players also can help by motivating them by doing good in school. Also if coaches want to construct a good team then they have to add pressure to help then understand what they are going or working towards. Pressure can play a significant role in helping athletes move and push harder. As an athlete myself I identify that pressure only happens when you most need i to make a team build stronger and come together. Pressure of teen sports has not gone too far because pressure is motivation.

-Should parents regulate their teen’s diet and exercise to prevent obesity?
I think parents shouldn't have the right to regulate their teens diet because the should focus more on their education and if it ever gets really bad to where a kid is obese then the parents can start worrying. Otherwise the more appropriate way of a parent regulating teens diets are by reminding them to take control of their diet. Teens should consist controlling their own diets because when they get older they will not have their parents with them to give them their healthy foods.

English 10 Academic Vocabulary Paragraph
You should go to jail for harassing someone on a social networking site.
One reason is because it can Affect someone by cyberbullying ad can sometimes be so dangerous it can even make some people commit suicide. It can also damage their privacy and their surroundings as well as how they live. It can not also affect them by just online social networking but by Texts as well. Anyone can just easily dial a random number and send something that nobody wants to see. It sometimes also depends on how people Maintain and control their privacy settings. Keeping your stuff private can affect not only you but friends that as well may not be on private settings. I think anyone should go to jail for harassing someone because as myself I would not want to be harassed by someone I have no idea who they are and because I would have to be cautious every day of who I talk to and who I'm friends with.

Do video-game makers have the right to sell violent video games to minors?
Video- game makers do not have the right to sell violent video games to minors because it Derives bad behavior and can cause less empathy. Although video-game makers rate the games parents still buy games for their kids. Which means it is the parents responsibility as well. Video game makers should as well not sell to minors because it can brainwash them and affect them in the future. If parents want to stop this as well, they should analyze games before they go out and buy games for their kids. Choices - Week 1
Changing from Freshman year to Sophomore year isn't really that much of an impact. The big change is knowing that next year I am going to be a Junior. I will be really different because I will not have the same teacher and things will be hard. It seems like just yesterday I was in eight grade. It is also hard when teachers or adults ask me which college I want to go to or what do I want to be when I grow up because I don't know yet. Even though they say it is fine, I feel like time flies by really fast and sooner or later I am going to have to make that decision. I think change can cause many things but time flies really fast which kind of scares me.

Portfolio - Future
How do you feel about your future?
- I feel like my future will not be the brightest but I will go far. I know I can do anything because I have gotten this far. Because I've gone the farthest in my family it shows that I can go farther.
What are your goals for the future?
-My goals for the future are not yet planned for me but I do know that I will make it through high school and I will go to college if I tried. I do have one goal to make it far in life and do anything that can help and be worth going for.
You may write about many goals, but you MUST write about school and your career plan.
-I don't have a career that I want to go for or a school that I want to go to, For now I just know I want to get good grades all 4 years.
How have your previous experiences prepared you to reach each of these goals?
-Because I made it through middle school with somewhat good grades I know I can make it through high school with good grades. Anyone can if they decided to.
What do you need to continue to work on in order to achieve each of your goals?
-I need to work on less worrying on out of school thing rather than school projects and essays. I also need to work on having time for doing homework.
Who will help you to achieve your goals?
-Anyone I ask to help me. Any adults and even any of people around me.
Do you genuinely believe you will achieve your goals? Why or why not?
-I don't I will achieve my goals because of other experience. I also don't believe I will because I don't like planning for things and going for them because I know it won't work.

Romeo & Juliet - Love at First Sight
I definitely not believe in love at first sight. I don't believe in love at first sight because I have never experienced it , not that it is real, but I also don't believe in it because I don't think someone can just randomly fall in love with someone in just one sight. Romeo and Juliet's love is not sincere because Romeo had just said that he wanted someone else and now all of the sudden he see's Juliet and he falls in love. I do not believe in love at first, I don't know why but I don't.

Personal Changes Blog Paragraph
At the beginning of my freshman year, I was not mean, I was a person who worried about different things like grades, drama and family drama. I was nice and friendly I wanted to be equal with everyone. Because I am a freshman, in the beginning I thought "nothing can happen to me, no one would want to hurt someone as little as me." Turns out I was wrong. When you hit high school everything changes. It doesn't matter whether others are big or little. Anything can happen. Now I don't care what anybody thinks about me. I am myself. I stick to me, myself and I. I only have certain friends and even then I don't really consider them my "friends" anymore. Anyone can turn right around and do something that can hurt others forever. Now I am mean and unlikely to open up to just anyone, because I learned and still am. I care about grades but not drama. Sometimes I just wish it can walk right by me, but it seems like I am always in the way. But this is just my freshman year... I can't wait to see what happen in three years.

Academic Language Week 37 - Unhealthy Meal Choices
The fast food industry should not be allowed to target kids with unhealthy meal choices. One reason is because it leads to child obesity and children can even get diabetes. Fast food companies use many of the SIMILAR campaigns such as toys and discounts. Many of the companies share the same THEORY that the kids don't know what they are getting fed anyway, so by giving them a toy they are gonna want it even more. This really makes it hard on the kids because they don't know what they are consuming, but they are more interested in the toy. Unfortunately, certain SECTIONS of the community can only eat at fast food restaurants because they're poor. You have to look at it this way to really understand. Would you rather be obese, tired, and hungry? Or, would you like to be a healthy weight, energetic, and well fed? If you wanna be healthy and feel good, why would you wanna put your child through that? Targeting kids with unhealthy meal choices is terrible and unfair to the kids.

Academic Language Week 35 - Sweatshops
Are sweatshops a violation of people's human rights?
Words:
-apply
-contract
-labor
Yes, sweatshop are a violation of people's human right because people have the right to be treated right when they are working for their own money. Applying for a a sweatshop should be required to let people know in contracts what they are heading for. For example if someone is signing a contract, to apply for a job they should be warned for not being able to use the bathroom when needed, or not getting paid sufficient money also be warned from doing major labor. Sweatshops are a violation of people's rights also because no should be treated badly just to make others who want to pay less happy. In conclusion, sweatshops are a violation of human right's because I wouldn't want to be in a position where I work hard for less.

Academic Update Blog Paragraph
B: Share your academic goals for the remaining seven weeks of school and explain how you will achieve them.
My academic goals for the remaining seven weeks are to finish of with at least A's and B's. That way I don't have to go to summer school. My goals are to turn in every new assignment correct and on time. So far its really not working out but I'm trying. I don't want to go to summer school because I have had enough of school. Another reason why I don't want to go to summer school is because I don't want to have to wake up early in the morning to go to school again for another 6 weeks in the hot. I want to stay away from here as much as possible for the summer so I have something to do off campus. My goal is to end school with a 3.0 or higher, which means no summer school and no staying here having to wake up early in the morning and then nothing to look forward to for 6 weeks.

Academic Language Week 33 - American Students
Cell phones should not be allowed in schools because there is students that don't know how to control themselves that same second they feel or hear their phone ring/vibrate. Another reason is because kids try to persuade their teachers to let them use their phones which distracts them from doing their work in class and also gets them a bad grade. Although most teachers critique that every message is bad, when some can be emergencies. Contrasting different schools, some have different rules than others, but I think we should prevent kids from using cellphones in class if they want a good grade. In conclusion, I think cell phones should not be allowed in schools because it distracts kids from their work.

Ironic Story Blog Post
I remember a time when my sister and I decided to go swiming in our little inflatible pool. I was little back then. We decided right after school to use the time we had to fill up the pool with water and when we were finished make it looked like it never happened. So we got home from school filled it up with air and the inside with water. We played until it got kind of late. So we checked the time and it was 10 minutes before our mom came home we rushed in the house and threw our towels in the closet. We threw the water out of the pool into the bushes. We looked around and it seemed pretty nice so we both rushed to the shower, got out and we saw her car just parking in. She walks into the house with a bag. She went into our rooms to check out how clean they were. I totally forgot about the towels. She took off her belt and her pants? We were ready to get in trouble and grounded but she told us to put our suits back on? She dressed in her suit as well and we flated it the pool again. She had brought us snacks to eat. She had never done that before. I didn't understand why she was in a good mood but all I knew was to enjoy the moment.:)

Academic Language Week 32 - Exit Exam
Should a student have to pass a high school exit exam to earn a high school diploma?
-distribute -obtain -vary
I think students should have to obtain a high school exam to earn a high school diploma because that way they can remember everything they have learned during their past four years in high school. I think each test is better when it varies each year because most things we learn we forget. I think students should obtain to pass a high school exam because it motivates the students throughout all 4 years letting them know that they have to pass a test in order to get a diploma.

Academic Language Week 31 - Teen Vandals
-Parents of teen vandals should not be held responsible for their child's damage. One reason is because some teens are old enough to handle their own damage and even work hard to achieve the money they need to pay back. Teens should be responsible enough to even be careful enough to not vandalize. If teens are brave enough to vandalize then they are as well brave enough to stand up and specifically admit what they did. Teens should have to pay for their own mistakes because when they are adults they aren't going to have anyone to pay for their damage. In conclusion, teens should take their own responsibility. Parents should not have to be held responsible for child's damage because they need to compute their own damage and mistakes and take responsibility.

Spring Break Blog Paragraph
D: Describe the most memorable day of Spring Break.
My most memorable day of Spring Break would have to be Thursday April 12, 2012 because that day my house decided we should all go on a long day outing to LA and see Beverly Hills as well as Hollywood Hills. We decided to leave around 11 arrive there around 1 and come back around 7. This would have to be my most memorable day of Spring Break because I didn't do anything else the other days. Another reason why this would have to be my most memorable day is because I never had a chance to go see famous star's house so this was probably a once in a lifetime opportunity. When we arrived we had a chance to get on a bus and tour which also gave me another opportunity to see different things that I haven't seen before. In conclusion, Thursday would have to be my most memorable day because I got to see things and places that I probably will not see for a long time.

Academic-Midterm:story
Unique is Different
She walks to school everyday worrying, making sure no one was approaching her to hurt her just like it always happened when she was there her first year of elementary. Emily only a 12 year old girl as a Freshman smart enough to skip a grade. She lives in the middle of Pierre the capital of South Dakota. Her first period class was Biology she had taken it last year but she didn’t feel confident so she asked for it again this year.Today at lunch everyone was watching her like she didn’t belong there. She looked for a spot but most of the lunch area was covered by Jocks, Drama queens, and teachers. I forgot to say Staff. She proceeded outside where there nobody. But unfortunately when the bell ran everyone came out pushing her to where she almost fell down the stairs. Most kids assumed since she was little she had to be doing good in school. Well they were correct she had straight a’s in every class cared nothing but about herself, grades, family and sports. She was never an attention seeker like the drama queens I mentioned earlier. The most primary or important thing to her was her older brother, she looked up to him. He was her role model. Sometimes her brother could be a complex person or someone hard to understand. But she loved him either way. He had a special formula. He told her when she reaches her teen age she should always keep her head up and he would always be there. He had good potential, also had good grades and wanted to become a marine. To make his process work he followed the method he told Emily. In response, he pursued his dream but not only that dream the dream to go to another world and see the all. Each and everyone on the other side.
She headed to Bio where she sat at the back of the class trying to avoid other students and of course their immaturity. During half her class their new asb president headed handing out everyone basketball try out flyers. The element of playing basketball struck her head. She had loved each and every sport she played so she knew she had to try out. With her great enthusiasm she headed to the office to initial the tryout form but first she had to grab a flyer so she could clarify when and where tryout where held. Knowing she had played many sports relevant to basketball she had to be good. Unfortunately their school had a tradition. Which was if you are a freshman, no game time unless short of players, juniors and seniors always starters and sophomores are mainly six man. This made her feel even more distinct. Which also meant no play time for her according to how many people signed the tryout sheet.
When school was over she headed home through the wood and an alley. She occured to stop near a group of cheerleaders and their boyfriends. She established they are the “cool kids.” She tried to walk away and interact in a nice way by just going straight home but a tall guy looked around 6’2 250 lbs blocked her giving her a big push enough to make her fall on the ground. She thought to herself “not again” getting wildly beaten and the cheerleaders watching she had the opportunity and ran home. Even though she could hardly walk she made it she ran upstairs trying to avoid her mom asking questions. She transferred schools because her brother had been getting beaten the same exact way, so her mom had a feeling it would happen to her as well. It did now. Her first day of school seemed alone and quiet but she had emails from everyone even her teachers. Unbelievably she couldn’t take anymore. The source of knowing that this would continue wasn’t right. She would differentiate from other which is what she expected but not wanted. She did not want to justify anything with anyone. She felt like her head was going to explode. With her laying down tears on her face, beaten up badly thinking about what to do. She wasn’t thinking right enough. She wasn’t thinking about the pain her mom would administer through. She was behaving in a conductive way. She never interacted with others this way. Compensating an apology from those who have hurt her in the past and now was not an option. In fact she had never been noticed to anyone in anyway before. In fact, she thought of something, something that would change at least someone’s life. She opened her drawer and grabbed it. She fell on the floor only seeing red flowing through her white carpet facing her laptop. Nothing but white she was what she saw. Her last words were. “NOW THEY WILL REMEMBER ME”
She walks to school everyday worrying, making sure no one was approaching her to hurt her just like it always happened when she was there her first year of elementary.

Academic Language Week 30 - "D" Grades
No schools should not eliminate "d" grades because that just causes more stress for kids knowing that they have to keep their grades above a c to stay away from turning their grades into a F. It could compensate from an f because it motivates kids to move foward but the problem is it can cause stress as well. If schools eliminate "d" grades then students will have a hard time staying up late and working on school subjects so when they go to school and try to interact with other students they are already too tired. Initially we chose to leave as a d so I think why change it now when we could just leave it as it is. Schools should not eliminate "d" grades because again, of too much stress that is put on the kids.

Academic Language Week 29 - School Conferences
I think adults should not face jail time for missing their child's school conference. A reason is because we have never had a law or rule now so why start. Another reason is because parents don't always have the time to go to every conference. If anything, we should change the rule of conferences instead of facing jail time, for example changing the resources such as calling home or sending a note or letter is a good idea. It would be a waste of time waiting or seeking for the parents when you could just easily call them to transfer the information or write them a letter or even leave them a message. The last reason why I think adults should not face jail time is because parents have to work for their kids education so therefore they are busy working for their kids good.

Trayvon Martin Paragraph
The shooting of Trayvon is important to my life because when I become an adult I will worry that my kids are either living in a good neighborhood or not. I would make sure my kids are aware when someone is following them and know what to do when it happens. According to what is happening now I am sure that when I grow up and have kids everything will be a little more safe. Another reason, why the shooting of Trayvon is affective it will help us in the future if the laws don't change it could be used as good evidence to help our case . The shooting of Trayvon not will only affect in the future but can also affect people now. It can affect other families worrying about their kids being safe. The shooting of Trayvon is relevant to my life, because I know that someday I can change something or do something about it and save at least one more life.

Academic Language Week 27 - Drug-Sniffing Dogs
Global Positioning System (GPS) devices should be required for habitually truant students because that way truant students can come to school everyday on time knowing they have something motivating them to get to class. It would also improve students accuracy attendance. I think this is actually a really great idea because I can't think of any other element that would motivate kids to go to school everyday. Most kids that get GPS devices mainly get it from bad conduct or behavior in school but most of all attendance. The person who created or administered this idea thought of something really great. In conclusion I think GPS devices were a great idea because if it were me I know I would not like something like GPS systems but I would want something to motivate me.

Rain, Vacation, or Zombies vs Vampires Blog Post Paragraph
I would honestly rather be attacked a zombie. I choose zombies because vampires can fly and can reach you when you least expect it. While zombies are dumb, run slow, don't have as much strength as alive humans, and if they do they are dumb enough and don't how to use it. Another reason why I would rather be attacked by a zombie is because I can easily run away as for a vampire it can fly and catch you before you can step. The last reason why I would rather be attackted by a zombie is because when you are a zombie you don't know what your doing but when your a vampire you have to go through the pain.

Academic Language Week 27 - Drug-Sniffing Dogs
School officials have the right to use drug-dogs because that way students that have an addiction to it can stop knowing that there is someone looking through their stuff. Another reason why they have the right is because sometimes dogs can find something and might even assume the right person. Additionally the process of checking everyone's belongings can become useful when some who addicted has been bringing drugs to school. In conclusion I would respond to this in a good way because it not only helps the kids addicted but also the kids trying to avoid drugs.

Testing Thoughts Paragraph
Taking the CAHSEE is a good thing because that way teachers can see how much the students have learned over the past year. Another reason why I think it is a good idea is because when you graduate by passing the CAHSEE whatever college you decide to go to can see your scores. I feel as if the CAHSEE can be good also to the students because some kids forget during the middle of the year what they have learned in the past. So by taking the CAHSEE you can remember what you forgot. I am a freshman and I'm not taking the CAHSEE this year but next year I will be prepared and ready because I know what is coming.

Academic Language Week 2 - Cars
Would you want a car that drives itself?
Yes I would like a car that drives itself because that way it would be easier to drive and easier to not get lost on the road while going on long trip or places you don't know. Another reason why I would like to have a car that drives itself is because car accidents would be something less to worry about or something that wouldn't ever occur. Also it can be helpful towards the government because you wouldn't need to pay for bus drivers. Whenever this would be possible it could or will feel like a method or normal routine. If we are able to make it happen then we can proceed and move forward to see what comes next in the future while using now our advanced technology.

Homonyms Practice Blog Paragraph
She slammed her phone onto the table and ran out the door. She looked around trying to find her car. And there is was at the corner of her block. She ran as fast as she could forgetting her keys in the house. Having to run all the way back she looked around and found her mom's note saying "your food is in the fridge, its chicken sitting to your soda." She didn't have time to eat so she ran back outside and ran towards her car. She saw a little boy sitting outside her neighbors house. She asked him" you're living here?" The little boy didn't answer but she was in a hurry so she left him there hoping he would imagine she never talked to him. Driving 20 miles away she arrived at the hospital.
"is there a lady names Niome here? I heard she was in your 4th floor? they're not planning on staying overnight right?" she asked.
The lady at the front desk had somehow answered all of her questions with patience and she had correctly told her that her mom was staying in floor 7 and is staying for no more than 2 days. She ran to the elevator, up to room 205 and as soon as she walked in she asked... "you're leaving in two days???" "They're not lying right??"
"Their lady in the front office just told me.""If you don't want to I can go tell their manager lady."
Her mom also did'nt answer.
She woke up to her brother pouring water on her face, she realized it was all a dream and shes was glad.

Academic Language Week 25 - Concealed Handguns
-Adults should have the right to carry a concealed handgun because it can be useful when it comes to living in a dangerous place. One reason is because some men and women who feel like they are violent could carry gun so whenever shown it can indicate and they could scare anyone away. Additionally, something unexpected can appear. Not liking guns myself I think adults should never justify something violent for example, getting beaten, using a gun. I think people who establish making guns should also make special permits which now exist but these would be sold often to people who live somewhere dangerous. Adults should have the right to carry concealed handguns because of dangerous things that can happen to anyone.

Technology in School Paragraph
Ms. Priester uses technology to help me learn how to submit work using forms which help things get organized according to, class, assignment, and student. For example when I started off my year as a freshman Ms. Priester introduced the class to blogger and forms. At first I started off with a bad grade because I wasn't used to forms and blog posts but now it is simple and actually very easy. This helps me because instead of writing down on a piece of paper, which kills trees, we get to use technology which is one of the very easy things to do. Another way it helps me is being organized when using Google docs that way we have a folder of which we keep track of all our assignments shared automatically to Ms.Priester. Future teachers can help their students to learn by using technology because in the future everything will be advanced so we should start learning now to be prepared for the future.

Academic Language Week 24 - Online Learning
Online learning is not an effective way to educate students because students nowadays need to work on their social skills. Another reason is because teens need to work on getting up and walking to school so that way they don't stay home and be lazy. The differentiation of working on a computer and going to school is you can get your stuff organized if you turn everything instead of struggling on making new document on the computer. Online learning is not an effective way to educate students because being with a teacher and being able to ask the questions when the teachers are their is better because that way you can clarify whatever it is you need help with. The last reason why online learning is a noneffective way to educate students can learn easier in class when teacher know what the student is or needs help with for example if learning the area of a square, teacher can help them then and there, but online you have to wait until the teacher is back online. I think online learning is not an effective way of learning because of other distractions while online.

Academic Language Week 23 - Dog Fighting
Dog fighting should be illegal because some dogs don't have the potential do fight with a bigger dog at times. Another reason why dog fighting should be illegal is because it can not only harm the dog but it can also harm the animal lovers. There is many more different ways or formulas to solve dog fighting. For those who take pleasure from watching dog fighting, there is better things to do. To me this is a very distinct situation as in something I will definitely never forget. I think do fighting should be illegal because I am a animal lover myself and to hear and see dog fights is terrible towards those who love to watch it.

Imagery in Poetry Blog Post Paragraph
2 years ago, my cousin died in a car accident.
Crashing on the bridge I felt the tears running down my face.
Running to my aunt’s house with the fastest pace.
I couldn't imagine anything more worse then hearing her shout,
"NOT MY SON, PLEASE!!"
With my mom touching my back telling me it was OK
Everything just seemed and looked Grey.
Right there all I smelled was the bad feeling of negativity.
With my face full of tears now I tasted them getting in my mouth.
Myself feeling down, tearful, depressed and sorrowful.
I hated being here, I hated feeling this way. This actually seemed more like a fray.

Academic Language Week 22 - Felons Voting
Felons should be allowed to vote because they are some of the percent that make this country. They are citizens which means they have the right to vote just as the rest of us do. Sometimes when felons don't get the right to vote they see it as a complex and they thinks too much of it. This is why I am writing this because felons should be allowed to vote. Being relevant, felons should also have a say and voices whom should be heard. The main source in this situation is that if felons don't get to vote then they don't get their voices to be heard which changes a lot of things even though it might not seem like it. This is what I think about felons being able to vote.

Poetry Previous Knowledge Paragraph
Prompt B: Would you rather read a story or a poem?
I would rather read a story. I choose a story because most stories explain what they main subject or moral is, but poems use similes it uses hyperboles and all types of other things that make a poem sound exiting or interesting to read, My opinion is that poems are interesting to read but I think stories are easier to understand because stories don't have more complicated sentences and things that are comparing in order for you to understand what the next sentence is going to be about.
Poem has never been my thing. If I write a poem I am surprised at myself but I write stories easier. Writing is my favorite subject but I would rather write a story rather than write a poem also because I can give the main point right in the story not like poems you have to put in rhymes, hard core vocabulary and other things.
I like reading stories. My favorites are Auto-biography. I like when authors just tell me in the story "I got shot yesterday" instead of “I felt the pain in my shoulder as it bled through my shirt, feeling the bullet I could not move." I think it is easier to read a small sentence letting me know what is going on.

Academic Language Week 18 - Teen Drivers
Teen drivers should have special restrictions placed on their driver licenses because most teens get into car accidents because of being distracted and less experienced. I also think that if more teens get car or their drivers license then they will have to drive their own car and this can or will lead to air pollution. Another reason why teenagers should have special restrictions is because then if you are responsible you can follow rules or special restrictions that your lisense has so then they can acquire rules by when they get their adult lisense they know which rules to follow and be ready and prepared. The culture of teenagers of driving is they want cars is to drive with loud music and can carpool to any school dances or parties. To conclude this statement or paragraph about teenagers and special restrictions our final thought is we think there should be more restrictions towards teenager drivers license because it can mean more carpooling and less accidents.

Dragons' Den First Semester Week 17: Free Choice
My topic that I chose to write about is basketball. There is nothing new but that our goal for this year is to get a banner. Our first league basketball game is this Tuesday and I am soooo exicted. I think if we do good and stay focused this year we can get a banner. I love basket and it is my favorite sport! This is my topic that I chose to write about.

Academic Language Week 17 - China
Shoes, electronics, toys, furniture, leather are all things imported from china to the United States . In my opinion I think the trade in importing and exporting goods is a good idea because it functions out well according to the money situation. I think this is a good idea because if we can get things from china then they can get things from us which would mean equal share. I think this process is awesome because everyone gets share of money within what they get in china. This is what I think about importing goods from china.

Cyberbullying Perspectives
He/she or you need to stop. I don't care who they are where they live or what they are, cyberbullying needs to stop. It has been going around for a while even when you might not know it. Whoever is doing this need to stop because it can not only affect a kid’s life but it can also affect their parents? Imagine how you would feel if you were that person, you might not care but words will hurt you. I also think the person being bullied needs to defend him or herself or anyone around needs to do something immediately and right away. Cyberbullying sucks I have never gone through but just seeing it looks horrible. Any being a bully at anytime needs to stop because it might not come soon but karma will bite!
