Global positioning system devices should be required for habitually truant students because that way the students have a little scare in them knowing they can be found or located.

Online learning is not an effective way to learn. According to this website, Pros and Cons of Online School)it DIFFERENTIATES Not everyone has access to a computer in their homes, or their computer might not be equipped with the latest technologies, which conflicts with their online learning experience. Many online schools are still working on an AREA to build their technical support, so students may be on their own when attempting to troubleshoot problems. This shows that kids also have their technology. This also shows that some kids don't have their computers at home and if they do then their computers might not have the latest technologies which they would need for their online classes. However on this website it also states that kids although most online courses do have a discussion area where students are required to talk about CLARIFYING specific questions pertaining to that week’s lesson, this is done primarily through writing, making it more difficult to form lasting bonds. This shows that kids would never learn to know what it is or feels like to have a long lasting bind with a friend or peer. This also shows that kids will grow up to not have many friends.

Everyone and even felons should have a SOURCE of equal rights. The number of people incarcerated grows over time so the more felons the less voting. Maybe states should take a vote and see. Opponents say that felons have shown bad behavior and should not be trusted with a vote. Well if people have not tried it then they wouldn't know. It is RELEVANT that everyone feels like they have a say in society even if they are in jail for life, they could be helping the next generation. there kids, or even just people in the world who aren't locked up for life. Felons should be treated like everyone else in society and should be given at least 1 chance to vote.

----SURVEY
The United States should help countries like Haiti & Japan recover after a disaster because if the United States was ever in need for help after a recovery we would need the most help we could get. We would need a lot of money and INVESTMENTS from anyone who can help. REGIONS around the world don't like to help because they think it is a waste & it takes commitment which is what some countries need nowadays. SURVEY's should be taken around the world like this and see the difference in what people think. Whether they should help each other or not. The United States should help countries like Haiti & Japan because everyone should show respect for those who did not make it.

-Should teen drivers have special restrictions placed on their drivers' license?---ACQUIRE
----CONCLUDE
----CULTURE
Teens should not have special restrictions places on their drivers license because since they ACQUIRED the tests and passed the drivers ed. then that means they are perfectly safe to drive on the road just like anybody else as well as adults. Some CULTURES believe that everyone should have the same and equal rights which means teens should not receive restrictions on their license that adults make as well. If some teens are successful and CONCLUDE with a license then that should me that they are responsible enough to drive with the same privileges as an adult. Teen drivers should not have special restrictions places on their drivers license because when I become a driver I know I wouldn't want that for myself.

"Lamb to the Slaughter" Irony Paragraph.
Paragraph Outline-
How does the irony in "Lamb to the Slaughter" by Roald Dahl make the story memorable? In "Lamb to the Slaughter," Roald Dahl uses irony to make the story realistic.
For example, one of the detectives says, “Probably right under our very noses. What you think Jack?" as the men are eating the leg of lamb (pg. 324). This shows that this is dramatic irony because the reader knows that the characters are eating the murder weapon, but the characters were unaware. This also shows that this is memorable because the reader understands why Mary Maloney starts giggling after they were eating the murder weapon, because the reader understands and is in on the joke. In addition, Mary Maloney says, "Patrick!...How are you darling?" as she enters the house after returning from the grocery store even though she already knows her husband is dead (pg. 321). This shows that this is situational irony because it shows Mary, the wife, pretending like nothing happen even though she has just murdered Patrick and he was already dead. This also shows that that her actions have changed since the beginning of the story when she was caring toward her husband. Her behavior is surprising which makes the readers want to keep reading. In conclusion the author uses Irony in this story to make the readers expect something but the story turns out to be the exact opposite.

-Are cell phones safe to use while driving?
----ASSESS
----CONCEPT
RELATE
Cell phones are not safe to use while driving. Over 37% of drivers have received or sent a text message and 18% say the do it regularly. I think people who receive messages were or are focused on what the message says than relying on what lye's ahead on the road. People who text or even use their phone at all while driving are more likely to get in an accident than someone using a Bluetooth or a loud speaker system. I think people who do not assess or think ahead will and should get consequences. Some people should know the concept of cellphones and how they are not allowed to be used while driving. There are people in the world who can relate to people who have been in car accidents just for using a cellphone while driving. Cellphones are not safe to use while driving because that is just another distraction when driving.

------Women should/should not be required to register for the Selective Service?
---Academic Vocabulary Words:
----FACTOR
----PLOT
----VOICE
Women should not be required to register for the Selective Service because women have a higher chance of getting killed in war then men. Some women might have the same abilities as a man does but at the same time women should be able to stay home and worry about their children and being their main factor in life. Women do have a voice as well but women should not be sent to war just because government thinks everything should be "equal." Not everything is going to be the same. Women going to war is way plotted way differently than women who stay home. This is because women who stay home feel like they are important like they have a need to stay home and help feed their kids keep them safe and do the duties of being a woman. While women who go to war may not come home often or sometimes don't come home at all, which is something that can affect their children.

---Should junk food be banned from high school vending machines?
I think junk foods should not be banned from high school vending machines because junk food can not only be described as chips, sodas and pastries It can be described as hamburgers and pizzas. An important part of school is not only about learning but also as well as making smart choices and picking through "junk foods" is a good ALTERNATIVE for teens. Banning junk food does not teach teens how to make healthy choices it simply removes their options. Banning junk foods is not a very good STRATEGY to teach teens how to start eating healthy. Even though adult worry about kids with obesity issues and other diseases they shouldn't ban junks foods from kids now. In PREVIOUS there have been kids who can't control themselves. But if their peers help htem they can become more and more motivated towards making smart choices. Teens can make progress not by banning their junk foods but by letting them know what their choices are.

JCCS Academic Language Assessment Week 8
The Ten Commandments do not belong in schools. A reason why is because there are many religions out there with different varieties and different CATEGORY's of people and beliefs. For example, some religions believe there are different gods and some religions believe there is one god but Jesus is not the son of god. Another reason is because some people may think that god plays a big ROLE in kids life because of a thing called the "afterlife." An "afterlife" is life after death, it is a decision between whether you have not sinned or sinned, believed in god or not. People CONSUME all this information from a very famous book called "The Bible". A book with the ten commandments and many other series of events that have happened in times before explaining that everyone should live for god. But this should mainly be studied in church. Which is why I think the Ten Commandments should not be allowed in schools because it can use up kids time instead of learning what they need to know to be successful in life.

English 10 Academic Vocabulary Paragraph
You should go to jail for harassing someone on a social networking site.
One reason is because it can Affect someone by cyberbullying ad can sometimes be so dangerous it can even make some people commit suicide. It can also damage their privacy and their surroundings as well as how they live. It can not also affect them by just online social networking but by Texts as well. Anyone can just easily dial a random number and send something that nobody wants to see. It sometimes also depends on how people Maintain and control their privacy settings. Keeping your stuff private can affect not only you but friends that as well may not be on private settings. I think anyone should go to jail for harassing someone because as myself I would not want to be harassed by someone I have no idea who they are and because I would have to be cautious every day of who I talk to and who I'm friends with.

Academic-Midterm:story
Unique is Different
She walks to school everyday worrying, making sure no one was approaching her to hurt her just like it always happened when she was there her first year of elementary. Emily only a 12 year old girl as a Freshman smart enough to skip a grade. She lives in the middle of Pierre the capital of South Dakota. Her first period class was Biology she had taken it last year but she didn’t feel confident so she asked for it again this year.Today at lunch everyone was watching her like she didn’t belong there. She looked for a spot but most of the lunch area was covered by Jocks, Drama queens, and teachers. I forgot to say Staff. She proceeded outside where there nobody. But unfortunately when the bell ran everyone came out pushing her to where she almost fell down the stairs. Most kids assumed since she was little she had to be doing good in school. Well they were correct she had straight a’s in every class cared nothing but about herself, grades, family and sports. She was never an attention seeker like the drama queens I mentioned earlier. The most primary or important thing to her was her older brother, she looked up to him. He was her role model. Sometimes her brother could be a complex person or someone hard to understand. But she loved him either way. He had a special formula. He told her when she reaches her teen age she should always keep her head up and he would always be there. He had good potential, also had good grades and wanted to become a marine. To make his process work he followed the method he told Emily. In response, he pursued his dream but not only that dream the dream to go to another world and see the all. Each and everyone on the other side.
She headed to Bio where she sat at the back of the class trying to avoid other students and of course their immaturity. During half her class their new asb president headed handing out everyone basketball try out flyers. The element of playing basketball struck her head. She had loved each and every sport she played so she knew she had to try out. With her great enthusiasm she headed to the office to initial the tryout form but first she had to grab a flyer so she could clarify when and where tryout where held. Knowing she had played many sports relevant to basketball she had to be good. Unfortunately their school had a tradition. Which was if you are a freshman, no game time unless short of players, juniors and seniors always starters and sophomores are mainly six man. This made her feel even more distinct. Which also meant no play time for her according to how many people signed the tryout sheet.
When school was over she headed home through the wood and an alley. She occured to stop near a group of cheerleaders and their boyfriends. She established they are the “cool kids.” She tried to walk away and interact in a nice way by just going straight home but a tall guy looked around 6’2 250 lbs blocked her giving her a big push enough to make her fall on the ground. She thought to herself “not again” getting wildly beaten and the cheerleaders watching she had the opportunity and ran home. Even though she could hardly walk she made it she ran upstairs trying to avoid her mom asking questions. She transferred schools because her brother had been getting beaten the same exact way, so her mom had a feeling it would happen to her as well. It did now. Her first day of school seemed alone and quiet but she had emails from everyone even her teachers. Unbelievably she couldn’t take anymore. The source of knowing that this would continue wasn’t right. She would differentiate from other which is what she expected but not wanted. She did not want to justify anything with anyone. She felt like her head was going to explode. With her laying down tears on her face, beaten up badly thinking about what to do. She wasn’t thinking right enough. She wasn’t thinking about the pain her mom would administer through. She was behaving in a conductive way. She never interacted with others this way. Compensating an apology from those who have hurt her in the past and now was not an option. In fact she had never been noticed to anyone in anyway before. In fact, she thought of something, something that would change at least someone’s life. She opened her drawer and grabbed it. She fell on the floor only seeing red flowing through her white carpet facing her laptop. Nothing but white she was what she saw. Her last words were. “NOW THEY WILL REMEMBER ME”

Academic Language Week 27 - Drug-Sniffing Dogs
School officials have the right to use drug-dogs because that way students that have an addiction to it can stop knowing that there is someone looking through their stuff. Another reason why they have the right is because sometimes dogs can find something and might even assume the right person. Additionally the process of checking everyone's belongings can become useful when some who addicted has been bringing drugs to school. In conclusion I would respond to this in a good way because it not only helps the kids addicted but also the kids trying to avoid drugs.
