If I was in Louis L’Amour’s position I would wait until I healed and went out hunting. For the while that I was getting healed I would stay in a cave I found. I would rub 2 sticks together to make fire but if that didn't work I would rub 2 rocks together. I would find things and make myself comfortable. I would make weapons in case of anything dangerous that happens. I would search to find people and new place to live. I would hunt and live my life miserably.
